Mercury drops 5 degrees in Goa

PANAJI: Sunday morning was abnormally nippy as the mercury plunged right around five degrees beneath ordinary to 18.5C, half a month into summer.

The meteorological focus at Altinho, Panaji, had recorded a base temperature of 21C on Thursday, 22C on Friday, yet on Saturday the temperature dropped to 19.1C preceding Sunday's plunge to 4.7 underneath typical.
